Ivy Tech Community College isIndiana’s community college system. Each year, Ivy Tech serves as many students as all of Indiana’s four-year colleges and universities combined.
How to Enroll
Obtaining a college education is a major milestone, and we want to help you reach your goal. You can get started by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This will give you an estimate of your federal aid eligibility.
If you’re a new student, you will need to complete the following steps:
1.Submit the FAFSA
2.Receive your Student Aid Report (SAR)
3.Complete placement testing
4.Attend new student orientation
5.Meet with your advisor
6.Register for classes
2.1 Applying to Ivy Tech
You’re almost ready to apply to Ivy Tech! To finalize your list of schools, choose whether you plan to apply to one or more of our campuses using the tabs below.
If you plan to take all of your classes online, please apply as an Online Student. You will not be asked to choose a campus location.
All other students will need to choose a campus location before starting their application. Use the tabs below to find instructions specific to your type of student and how you plan to take classes.
2.2 Registering for Classes
Ivy Tech uses an online registration system that allows students to register for classes from anywhere with an Internet connection. Students can also use this system to drop or add classes, pay tuition, and view their student schedules and account information.
To register for classes, students must first log in to myIvy at https://my.ivytech.edu. Once logged in, click on the “Registration” tab and then select the “Register for Classes” link.
From the registration page, students can search for classes by keyword, subject, or course number. To search for classes, enter the keyword(s), subject(s), or course number(s) in the appropriate search field(s) and click the “Search” button. A list of matching courses will be displayed in the search results section below.
Once you have found a class you would like to take, click on the “Add Class” button to add it to your registration cart. You can view the contents of your cart by clicking on the “View Cart” button located at the top of the screen. When you are finished adding classes, click on the “Proceed to Step 2” button.

To enroll at Ivy Tech, simply follow the steps below:
1. Choose the campus you would like to attend.
2. Submit an application for admission. You can do this online or in person at your chosen campus.
3. Once your application has been processed, you will be contacted by an admissions counselor to set up an advising appointment. This is when you will discuss your educational goals and plans, and determine which programs are right for you.
4. Once you have been advised and have decided on a program of study, you will need to complete a registration form and pay any required fees.
5. Congratulations! You are now officially enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College!
