When sketching your product, it is important to be as detailed as possible. Include all features, dimensions, stitching, pockets, etc. that you want to include in the final product. Once you have a complete and detailed Sketch, you can begin creating your tech pack template.
Add measurements and dimensions
Be sure to add all measurements and dimensions for both your garment and model to your tech pack. This will include, but is not limited to, neckline, sleeve length, natural waist, inseam, dress length (hemline), etc. Doing so will allow your garment to be made to the correct size. You may also want to include a “tolerance” measurement, which is the amount of wiggle room you allow for a particular dimension. For example, if your small size has a bust measurement of 32”-34”, you would list the finished measurement as 32” with a 2” tolerance. That way, if the actual finished measurement ends up being 34”, it will still be within your desired range.
Choose your materials
