Verizon adds two digital watches to kick of the year…

Verizon made a somewhat sweeping announcement that would most likely impact Android users nationally. Along with LG Gear, they have introduced  the Android Wear 2.0 watch today which many technology sites are raving as the BEST Android smartwatch to date.

The device is called Wear24 / 2.0 is somewhat an easy mix of sports & style while it also comes LTE-equipped, and has NFC for Android Pay among other features and costs less than the Style & Sport Watch at around $299 with a contract.

The latest release from LG comes with features of a 1.39-inch AMOLED display (290ppi), 450mAh battery, IP67 dust and water resistance, and a 42mm case with 13.5mm thickness. Which means a bigger battery, similar water and dust resistance from the Watch Sport, and a much more manageable 42mm case size.

For those wondering, Verizon made the device in partnership with Quanta, an original device manufacturer.

Verizon says that they expect the Wear24 to make its debut in March at $299 on a 2-year contract.
